Digital Production Lab (formerly the Multimedia Lab) Overview
There are 17 PCs and eight MAC computers available for student use in the lab. Each of the computers are connected to a DVD/VHS unit with a monitor to assist in video uploading and editing.
Our digital production lab also includes three soundproof audio/video editing suites, a SmartBoard, DVD conversion units, multiple flatbed scanners (including a large format scanner) and a
black & white printer.
AIFR 澳门水利博彩官方网站 Inferno Free Radio, the college's online radio station studio, is also housed in the digital production lab space, with programming content produced by the COMM 371 class and Media Hub. You can listen at aifr.technestng.com.
Printing
We have three printers available for student use in the Media Hub. Our black & white printer is located in the multimedia lab. Printing from our black & white printer subtracts one page from your printing account for each page in your document. This printer defaults to duplex (two-sided) printing, but can be changed to single-sided printing.
We also have two color printers. Our main color printer is located behind our front desk and our staff will be happy to gather your pages from the printer for you. Our second color printer is located in our Mac lab and can be used for printing up to 11" x 17" sized documents. Printing from our color printers subtracts 10 pages from your printing account for each page in your document. Remember to only send five pages at a time to the color printers or your document print files will be deleted.
Video Editing & Uploads
Moodle and LiveText uploads can be completed in our lab using our DVD/VHS playback units and video editing software. Appointments for video uploads can be made at our front desk or by calling 414-382-6170.
3-D Printing
While the 3-D printer itself is housed in the adjacent media lab workroom, the computer program for preparing the object's print file is located in the digital production lab. Currently only students enrolled in specific courses have access to the 3-D printer, but through the Media Hub's partnership with the Center for Academic Excellence several opportunities are offered for other students to utilize this exciting new technology as well.

Video Editing
Using one of the editing suites or iMac stations in the multimedia lab, students, faculty and staff can edit videos and produce a finished product on a DVD or in many other popular video file formats.
One-hour block appointments can be made in person in the Media Hub, or over the phone through the Media Hub information desk at 382-6170. Please make sure to note if you need training in the appointment book, or alert the student assistant to your needs.
When coming to edit, make sure to bring all of your materials and be prepared with any text or music you would like to add. Having text written out, music preselected on a flash drive and knowing what portions of your video you would like to edit or remove will save you time and angst when it comes time to edit.
